Lear Targets Honda Supplier Over Headrest Patents

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 4:40 PM EDT) -- Auto parts maker Lear Corp. has sued a Honda Motor Co. supplier for allegedly infringing two patents that cover headrests.

Lear filed its complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan against TS Tech North America Inc. and two affiliated companies, saying they have been using Lear-owned technology for years in headrests they supply to Honda for the manufacture of U.S.-sold cars.

The suit seeks damages and an injunction barring TS Tech from making the allegedly infringing headrests.
