7th Circ. Stops Atty's 'Near-Frivolous' Sears Dryer Suits

Law360, New York (November 03, 2010, 3:30 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has shut down a “pugnacious” class counsel who, after losing a deceptive marketing suit against Sears Roebuck & Co., filed a new, related class action with a new plaintiff.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on Tuesday blocked Chicago attorney Clinton Krislov — who it called “energetic and pertinacious to a fault” — from filing any more class actions related to alleged problems with the way Sears advertises its stainless steel clothes dryers.
