Truckin' (With Less Fuel)

Law360, New York (November 17, 2010, 2:40 PM ET) -- On Oct. 25, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation proposed new rules to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants by requiring greater fuel efficiency for heavy-duty trucks and buses, beginning with 2014 models.

The EPA and DOT’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are proposing new standards for three categories of heavy trucks: tractor-trailer trucks, heavy-duty pickups and vans, as well as buses, motor homes and garbage trucks.
