ITC Judge Finds Knowles Microphone Patents Invalid

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 7:41 PM EST) -- An administrative law judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission has decided that two silicon microphone-related patents belonging to Knowles Electronics LLC are invalid, dealing a blow to the company's attempt to stop rival Analog Devices Inc. from importing the products into the U.S.

Judge Robert K. Rogers Jr. issued his initial determination Monday, though the decision is still subject to review by the full ITC, which must sign off on the ruling.
