Supreme Court Set To Hear Landmark IPO Case

Law360, New York (March 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawyers are gearing up to battle over billions of dollars when the Supreme Court hears oral arguments next week in a case that tests the boundaries between federal securities and antitrust laws.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case, which pits 16 Wall Street firms and an army of defense lawyers against investors who bet on initial public offerings in about 900 Internet and technology companies during the technology boom in the late 1990s.
