AT&T, Pacbell Workers Win Cert. In FLSA Action

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 5:30 PM EST) -- Field managers in California with AT&T Corp. and subsidiary Pacific Bell Telephone Co. have won conditional certification in a collective action accusing the companies of improperly denying them overtime pay.

In a Nov. 19 order, Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said the plaintiffs in the Fair Labor Standards Act suit made an adequate showing that the proposed class members perform similar job duties.
