Judge Nixes Samsung Bid To Sack Claims In SRAM MDL

Law360, New York (December 14, 2010, 7:23 PM ET) -- The federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation alleging price-fixing of certain memory chips has nixed Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s bid for summary judgment on claims brought by direct purchasers.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday denied Samung's motion for summary judgment on the individual claims brought by lead direct purchaser plaintiff Westell Technologies Inc., saying the company had not bought static random access memory products from the defendants during a specified damages subperiod.
