GAO Boots Protest Of $10M Fuel Services Contract

Law360, New York (January 12, 2011, 5:20 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest by Bering Straits Logistics Services LLC, which alleged the Defense Logistics Agency improperly awarded a $10.1 million contract to Defense Contracting Services Inc. for fuel services.

The GAO decided the case on Dec. 15, and publicized the ruling Wednesday. The contract involved receipt, storage and distribution of various fuel products and liquid oxygen at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.
