Microsoft Sues TiVo Again As DVR Patent War Plays On

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 2:47 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. has opened more fronts in its infringement battle with TiVo Inc. over content display and delivery programs, asserting four patents in a new suit and asking the U.S. International Trade Commission to investigate the digital video recorder company.

Microsoft filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington on Monday, alleging the defendant's set-top box products, subscription services and software infringe four patents covering DVR technology.
