Microsoft Wins TRO In Contract Fight With Former Exec

Law360, New York (January 27, 2011, 7:05 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. has secured a temporary restraining order blocking a former executive from joining cloud computing rival Salesforce.com based on a noncompete and confidentiality agreement with his former employer.

Judge Kimberley Prochnau of the Washington State Superior Court for King County on Wednesday granted Microsoft’s TRO request against Matthew Miszewski, the computing giant’s former general manager for worldwide government, who was picked up by Salesforce.com on Jan. 18.
