Republicans Convene Hearing To Bash GHG Regs

Law360, New York (February 9, 2011, 6:31 PM EST) -- Republican lawmakers used a hearing Wednesday to question both the science of global warming and the costs of greenhouse gas regulations, and vowed to push ahead with legislation that would stop the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in its tracks.

Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Ky., testified before the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power that the Obama administration's EPA had been the most aggressive in recent memory, and that its greenhouse gas regulations were eliminating jobs and making the country less competitive in the global marketplace.
