KemPharm Hits Shire With Antitrust Counterclaims

Law360, New York (March 1, 2011, 6:26 PM EST) -- KemPharm Inc. filed antitrust counterclaims against Shire LLC in Virginia federal court Monday, accusing Shire of seeking to monopolize the attention deficit drug market by filing sham litigation accusing KemPharm's president of breaching an employment contract and stealing patented technology.

KemPharm filed the counterclaims in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia in response to a complaint Shire filed in September.
