Ex-Professor, Wife Want New Trial In NASA Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 5:15 PM EST) -- An ex-University of Florida professor and his wife asked a federal judge for a new trial Thursday, alleging juror misconduct after they were convicted of fraud related to more than $3 million in NASA contracts.

Samim Anghaie and his wife, Sousan, the president of New Era Technology Inc., also claimed prosecutors failed to present sufficient evidence for a conviction, according to motions for a new trial filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
