Bulletproof Vest Suit Can't Go To Michigan: Judge

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 6:28 PM ET) -- A suit alleging Second Chance Body Armor Inc. violated the False Claims Act when it used defective Zylon in bulletproof vests will not be transferred to Michigan, a federal judge in Washington, D.C.,  said Thursday.

Judge Richard W. Roberts denied the request from the individual defendants, all former executives of Second Chance, to move the case from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to the Western District of Michigan, saying that "public factors weigh decidedly against the transfer."
