8th Circ. Revives Armstrong Teasdale Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 5:14 PM ET) -- The Eighth Circuit on Tuesday revived a suit accusing Armstrong Teasdale LLP of malpractice in its handling of the licensing of a firewall patent, finding that the firm had failed to show that the suit was time-barred.

In remanding plaintiff James Joyce's suit, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit found that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri had incorrectly dismissed the suit as barred by the state's five-year statute of limitations for legal malpractice claims....
