Jury Begins Weighing Rajaratnam's Fate

Law360, New York (April 25, 2011, 1:19 PM EDT) -- The fate of accused insider trader Raj Rajaratnam is in the hands of a jury after a New York federal judge allowed deliberations to begin in the Galleon Group LLC founder's trial Monday afternoon.

U.S. District Judge Richard J. Holwell spent roughly an hour and a half delivering instructions to jurors in their weighing of the 14 charges against the hedge fund chief, advising them to start by assuming Rajaratnam has “a clean slate.”
