Cisco Exits InNova Email Filtering Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 8:08 PM EDT) -- Cisco Systems Inc. settled with InNova Patent Licensing LLC on Wednesday in a Texas suit InNova brought against dozens of defendants over its email filtering technology patent.

Three dozen companies across an array of industries, including Apple Inc. and Frito-Lay Inc., also face infringement allegations from the patent-licensing company, which sued in July.

"Plaintiff InNova Patent Licensing LLC and defendants Cisco Systems Inc. and Cisco IronPort Systems LLC have agreed to settle, adjust and compromise all claims in the above-captioned action," attorneys for the parties told...
