Nvidia Analyst, Hedge Fund Founder Plead Guilty

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 5:51 PM EDT) -- A hedge fund portfolio manager and a former Nvidia Corp. analyst both pled guilty Friday in New York federal court in the government's crackdown on insider trading through so-called expert networking services, including Primary Global Research LLC.

Samir Barai, founder of Barai Capital Management, pled guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox, and Son Ngoc “Sonny” Nguyen, the former Nvidia analyst, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff to insider trading charges in the federal courthouse in downtown Manhattan.
