New DOJ Merger Remedy Guide Stresses Conduct Fixes

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 6:13 PM EDT) -- Updated merger guidelines issued Friday by the U.S. Department of Justice crystallized the department's increasing willingness to pursue conduct-based fixes in vertical mergers, antitrust attorneys say.

The DOJ's Antitrust Division updated its guide for merger remedies for the first time in seven years, in an effort to make sure the manual reflects its recent enforcement activities, the agency said.
