DataTreasury, US Bank Can't Agree On Imaging Royalty

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 5:10 PM ET) -- DataTreasury Corp. and U.S. Bank NA on Friday gave a Texas federal court divergent estimates of how much the Minneapolis-based bank should pay the check imaging company, already awarded $53 million in damages, in royalties for infringing two of the company's digital imaging patents.

DataTreasury told Judge David Folsom the per-check image royalty rate should stand at two cents for the first 100 million checks and should drop from there, while the bank told the judge a reasonable royalty should be about 10 percent of that...
