Amazon, Others Hit With Online Inventory Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 02, 2011, 6:32 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company SFA Systems LLC sued Amazon.com Inc., Barnes & Noble Inc. and a slew of other retailers on Monday in Texas federal court, accusing them of infringing a computerized sales method patent.

SFA filed three suits over a single patent — U.S. Patent Number 7,941,341 — against 19 companies, alleging they infringed a patent that integrates "computerized intelligent automated salesperson support" into sales processes.
