Law360, New York (August 04, 2011, 1:17 PM ET) -- Following revelations that classwide employment discrimination claims against Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. were largely copied from an unrelated lawsuit against Coca-Cola Co., a Minnesota federal judge recommended Wednesday that the court toss the claims as a sanction.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Franklin L. Noel signed off on an order Wednesday that explained his July 22 recommendation that the court strike the class claims from the suit and that the plaintiff cover the attorneys' fees and costs that Amerprise incurred for having to respond to the class allegations....
