ITC To Review HP Printer Cartridge Patent Ruling

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 3:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that it would review an initial ruling that an importer of ink-jet print cartridges hadn't induced infringement of several Hewlett-Packard Co. patents.

The ITC said, however, that it would not re-examine an administrative law judge's findings that Taiwan-based cartridge maker MicroJet Technology Co. Ltd. had directly infringed HP's patents covering ink-jet print cartridges and components, or any other parts of the June ruling.
