Microsoft, Apple Sued Over Internet Security IP

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 4:41 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp., Apple Inc. and others were sued Wednesday in Texas for allegedly infringing three Internet security technology patents.

Tallgrass Prairie Management LLC says Microsoft and Apple, along with Symantec Corp., WinMagic (USA) Inc. and Check Point Software Technologies Inc., manufactured and distributed software that infringes U.S. Patent Numbers 5,436,972; 6,141,423; and 6,216,229.
