Gas Co. Sues NY Town Over Local Drilling Ban

Law360, New York (September 16, 2011, 7:26 PM EDT) -- Natural gas company Anschutz Exploration Corp. sued the town of Dryden, N.Y., in state court Friday over a ban on hydrofracturing, saying that the block was preempted by state laws that prevent regulation of the oil and gas industry on a local level.
