Investors Seek Class Cert. In Goldman MBS Action

Law360, New York (September 28, 2011, 2:16 PM EDT) -- A Mississippi pension fund asked a New York federal court Tuesday to certify a class of at least 150 investors who allege Goldman Sachs Group Inc. misled them into buying risky mortgage-backed securities.

The Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi asked the court to certify a class of what it estimated to be "more than 150 unique investors" who purchased securities arising out of a single offering in March 2006 of $698 million in certificates tied to MBS.
