Ameriprise Settles Login, Logout OT Suit

Law360, New York (October 07, 2011, 7:38 PM ET) -- A federal judge in Minnesota on Friday approved a settlement in a collective action against Ameriprise Financial Inc. claiming the company failed to to pay employees overtime for time spent logging into and out of computer systems.

U.S. District Judge Richard H. Kyle granted a joint motion by Ameriprise and the plaintiffs seeking approval of the settlement in the case, which was certified as a collective action consisting of 65 plaintiffs in September 2010.
