First Reserve Puts $100M Into Marcellus Shale Venture

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 3:07 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm First Reserve Corp. on Tuesday announced it was putting $100 million toward a joint venture with Energy Corp. of America to develop natural gas infrastructure in the Marcellus Shale region.

First Reserve, which specializes in energy industry investment, inked an agreement to help Energy Corp. build natural gas-gathering and transportation systems and other infrastructure projects, according to the press release.
