Singapore Media Co. Says Yahoo Nicked News Articles

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 2:28 PM EST) -- Singapore Press Holdings Ltd. has reportedly filed a copyright infringement suit accusing Yahoo Inc.’s Southeast Asia unit of improperly republishing articles from its newspapers without securing the necessary approvals.

SPH’s English language daily, The Straits Times, reported Wednesday that SPH has filed a writ of summons and statement of claim in the Singapore High Court. The complaint lists 23 articles from SPH newspapers as examples of Yahoo’s alleged improper reproductions.
