SEC Demands Log of Protected Docs In Mark Cuban Case

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 2:20 PM ET) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission asked a Texas federal court Tuesday to order sports and entertainment billionaire Mark Cuban, accused by the regulator of insider trading, to produce a log of documents that he claims are protected from disclosure.

The SEC said in a motion that Cuban has refused to provide a privilege log for documents after Dec. 31, 2006, claiming undue burden because a majority of documents created after that cutoff date are likely to be privileged. The SEC's investigation began in early December...
