Dole Pared From Potato Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (December 05, 2011, 5:03 PM ET) -- An Idaho federal judge overseeing a multidistrict ligation over an alleged potato price-fixing conspiracy on Friday dismissed Dole Food Co. Inc. from the suit, but refused to toss antitrust claims against other potato growers.

U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill denied a motion by United Potato Growers of Idaho Inc. and other co-defendants to dismiss antitrust claims based on exemptions laid down in the Capper-Volstead Act.
