Law360, New York (December 08, 2011, 6:31 PM ET) -- Software developer PersonalWeb Technologies LLC launched suits against Google Inc., Amazon Inc. and several other technology companies on Thursday, accusing them of infringing its patented technology for cloud computing, distributed search engine file systems and content-addressable storage.
The suits, filed in Texas federal court, also name NEC Corporation of America Inc., NetApp Inc., Dropbox Inc., EMC Corp., VMWare Inc., and Caringo Inc. It claims the companies infringed eight PersonalWeb patents when they developed their own content-addressable storage systems and search engine technologies.
