Sanofi Mounts Offensive For Eloxatin

Law360, New York (July 25, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Eloxatin is once again the subject of heavy litigation now that Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC has slammed generics makers with patent infringement suits over the hit colon cancer drug, just days after one of the companies sued for declaratory judgment to keep itself out of court.

Sanofi filed similar suits against Australian drug maker Mayne Pharma and India-based Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. in the New Jersey district court Monday, saying the generic heavyweights had filed Abbreviated New Drug Applications in violation of Sanofi's patents for the drug....
