Fed. Circ. Won't Keep Google Email Secret In Oracle IP War

Law360, New York (February 06, 2012, 7:54 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit on Monday denied Google Inc.'s bid to block Oracle America Inc. from using an internal Google email in a high-profile patent feud over Android smartphone technology.

The internal email at issue was authored by Tim Lindholm, a current Google engineer and former employee at Sun Microsystems Inc., which was later renamed Oracle America, according to court documents.

The Federal Circuit denied Google’s petition for a writ of mandamus without comment Monday.
