Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 6:39 PM ET) -- Communications technology company Mitel Networks Corp. accused Facebook Inc. in Delaware federal court Monday of infringing two phone- and Internet-related patents.
Canada-based Mitel says Facebook's online services utilize its patented technologies for automatically generating websites and for connecting users through computer networks, and that the site also empowers its users to do the same.
The complaint claims Mitel made multiple efforts to contact Facebook regarding the alleged infringement, including a July letter warning of the infringement and another in September offering to discuss possible licensing arrangements....
