Law360, New York (April 04, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has ordered new claims construction on patent claim terms relating to Amkor's package technology in the company’s litigation against Malay rival Carsem.
The ITC also remanded the case to the presiding administrative law judge to conduct further proceedings and make new findings necessitated by the Commission's clarification of Amkor's claims, Amkor said.
In a preliminary decision issued in November, Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock cleared semiconductor packaging company Carsem of infringing patents held by Amkor.
