Avis Didn't Disclose E-ZPass Convenience Fee, Suit Says

Law360, New York (May 07, 2012, 2:25 PM ET) -- Avis Budget Group Inc. and Avis Rent A Car System LLC were hit Friday with a putative class action in New York state court claiming they breached car rental agreements by furtively charging customers a convenience fee for electronic toll collection devices like E-ZPass.

Jodd Readick brought the lawsuit on behalf of New York customers who were charged by Avis for renting electronic toll devices, such as E-ZPass devices, during the past six years.
