Law360, New York (May 17, 2012, 6:17 PM ET) -- Dale Bozzio, the former frontwoman for the '80s band Missing Persons, has launched a putative contracts class action in California alleging EMI Group Ltd. did not properly compensate musicians licensing royalties from digital content providers like Apple Inc.'s iTunes.
The suit, filed May 11, alleges EMI and several subsidiaries failed to properly pay their recording artists and music producers for income they received from licensing their recorded music catalogs for sales of digital downloads, ringtones and streaming music.
