Texas Crane Co.'s Ex-Legal Chief Accused Of Stealing $9M

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 10:54 PM EDT) -- The former head of legal affairs for hydraulic crane manufacturer Tadano America Corp. and his wife were accused of stealing more than $9 million and funneling the money into a fake law firm he created, according to Monday media reports.

Anthony Chiofalo and his wife, Susan, issued a series of checks from Tadano to the fictitious firm, Maio & Cardenas LLC, that between May 2011 and May 2012 were deposited into an Amegy Bank account he owned, KHOU.com reported. Both have been hit with felony charges...
