Software Co. Sues Fanuc, GE Over Robot Patents

Law360, New York (September 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Washington-based software provider has rounded up Fanuc Ltd. and several GE subsidiaries in a patent infringement suit over integrated technology for robotic machines.

Roy-G-Biv Corp. fired off the suit on Wednesday in the plaintiff-friendly U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging Fanuc and the others were making and selling specialized software, along with compatible controllers and robots, that violated four of its patents.
