Watchdog OKs Chrysler’s ‘Most Awarded’ Claim For SUV

Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 7:57 PM EDT) -- An advertising industry self-regulator on Monday found that Chrysler LLC can adequately support claims about the superiority of its Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, rebuffing a challenge from Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC.

The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus found no objection to Chrysler’s advertising claims that the Jeep model was the “most awarded” sport utility vehicle over the brand’s lifetime, a claim that Jaguar had argued was inaccurate.
