Former Wal-Mart Employees Seek Class Certification

Law360, New York (October 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Employees suing retail giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc. on Wednesday asked a court to certify three sub-classes of plaintiffs in the purported class action, which alleges Wal-Mart violated California's labor laws by failing to fully compensate workers who left the company.

“Class treatment is the best method for resolving these claims in an equitable and efficient manner,” the plaintiffs said in a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
