Pa. High Court Won't Bar Reglan Patients' Claims

Law360, Philadelphia (August 23, 2012, 4:51 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday denied an appeal of a lower court's decision to allow claims brought by hundreds of patients alleging they suffered serious injuries after taking versions of the digestion drug Reglan.

The complaints, which have been filed through a mass tort program in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, say Reglan and its generic equivalents resulted in incurable neurological disorders, including uncontrollable repetitive motions of the body, in patients who have taken it.
