San Diego Court To Cut Reporters In Civil Cases

Law360, San Diego (September 26, 2012, 10:13 PM EDT) -- Squeezed by tens of millions of dollars in budget cuts, the San Diego Superior Court announced Tuesday that it plans to stop providing court reporters in civil proceedings.

As of Nov. 5, court reporters, who are responsible for transcribing court proceedings, will be available for criminal felony, family and juvenile matters, but not for probate or other civil cases, according to court officials.
