Firms Looking To Cost-Effective Locales For Growth

Law360, New York (October 3, 2012, 8:59 PM EDT) -- Despite the challenging economic climate, many small and mid-sized law firms are looking to grow by opening outposts in smaller U.S. cities, which can offer strategic advantages without the big-city financial risk, experts said Wednesday.

Within the past month, about a dozen firms — including Fox Rothschild LLP, Adams and Reese LLP and Peck Shaffer & Williams LLP — have opened new offices in mid-sized cities in North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Maryland, Ohio, Georgia and elsewhere.
