New RAPEX Rules — A Boon For EU Product Regulators

Law360, New York (November 6, 2012, 6:32 PM EST) -- With Decision 2010/15/EU of Dec. 16, 2009,[1] the European Commission launched the new[2] "Guidelines for the Management of the Community Rapid Information System RAPEX." The RAPEX system is supposed to enable the market surveillance authorities of the member states to swiftly exchange information in regard to unsafe consumer products and actions to be taken to reduce the risk.
