US PE Firms Face Global Interest For Domestic Projects

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 6:57 PM EST) -- Competition for investment opportunities in the U.S. market is growing as more foreign and international firms face off with domestic private equity firms for U.S. investment projects, a Grant Thornton International report issued Thursday said.

In the face of a shaky global economy, many private equity firms view North America as a safer place to invest, meaning that homegrown private equity firms should expect tougher battles for investment opportunities, the accounting and management consulting giant said in this year's Global Private Equity Report.
