Sharing Sites Infringed Studios' Copyrights, 9th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (March 21, 2013, 6:51 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday that an operator of websites that link to BitTorrent files used for peer-to-peer file-sharing contributed to the infringement of copyrights held by a host of major film studios, including Columbia Pictures Industries Inc. and Disney Enterprises Inc.
