Ohio Legislature Approves $2.5B Transport Budget Bill

Law360, New York (March 22, 2013, 4:07 PM EDT) -- A day after the Ohio Senate approved a $2.5 billion transportation budget bill, the state's House of Representatives on Thursday voted to pass the measure, which includes a call to issue $1.5 billion in bonds that will mostly be used to upgrade infrastructure in or near the state's turnpike.

Per the Substitute House Bill 51, which now goes to the governor's desk, 90 percent of the proposed bond revenues will be earmarked for use within 75 miles of the 241-mile Ohio Turnpike, according to a statement...
