Acosta To Pay $10M To Settle Merchandisers' OT Suit

Law360, New York (April 15, 2013, 3:56 PM ET) -- Acosta Sales LLC will pay $9.9 million to more than 6,000 merchandisers who accused the marketing giant of failing to pay proper wages and overtime, according to a settlement filed Friday in California federal court.

If approved, the proposed agreement would end the two-year-old lawsuit claiming Acosta refused to take driving time into account when calculating wages for merchandisers, whose primary job is to make sure products are being displayed properly at retail stores.
